Due Diligence Landman – Bakken [Remote]

We are seeking landman who is experienced running title for due diligence. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment and can work independently with minimal supervision. You should be skilled in all aspects of surface, mineral, and leasehold title research, as well as calculating ownership on both the landowner and operator sides. This role also requires reviewing the work of other landmen and efficiently providing constructive feedback to help them grow their abilities and become better landmen, all while meeting project deadlines. The goal is to deliver accurate research, calculations, and contracts to our clients, enabling them to advance their operations and achieve successful outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive research, including county records, production history, and seller's files.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with both internal team members and external stakeholders.
• Analyze and document research findings, extracting pertinent information for client reports.
• Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment with shifting timelines.
• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as management assigns, based on evolving business needs.
• Review the work of other landmen, providing constructive feedback to ensure accuracy and consistency in all research and documentation.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing title opinions and researching county records to track leasehold transactions and verify lease ownership calculations
• AAPL membership
• Proven ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines while managing multiple tasks effectively
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs)
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat
