What you will do:
- Lead Altagrove’s technical solution development activities across Cloud, Connectivity, Cyber, Space, Analytics, AI, and emerging technology initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership, Business Development, Capture, and Program teams to develop differentiated solutions for federal and defense customers.
- Translate customer mission requirements into scalable technical architectures, implementation strategies, and executable engineering solutions.
- Lead solution architecture and technical strategy for RFIs, RFPs, white papers, proposals, customer briefings, and other growth activities.
- Provide technical leadership across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, enterprise networking, virtualization, secure communications, SATCOM, cybersecurity, data, AI, and software development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain reusable reference architectures, solution frameworks, engineering standards, and technical artifacts.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to incorporate new capabilities into Altagrove’s solutions and service offerings.
- Collaborate with program managers and engineering teams to transition proposed solutions from capture and proposal development into successful program execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, architects, and other technical personnel across the organization.
- Lead technical exchanges, solution workshops, demonstrations, and customer engagement activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with technology partners, OEMs, cloud providers, and strategic teaming partners.
- Support technical recruiting efforts by helping define skill requirements and evaluate senior engineering and architecture candidates.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, integration challenges, and cost drivers during solution development and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
- Support strategic planning and development of Altagrove’s long-term technology roadmap and capability investments.
- Maintain awareness of DoD modernization priorities, emerging technologies, and evolving customer mission requirements.
What you will bring:
- Experience leading technical solution development, architecture, engineering, or technology strategy within government, defense, intelligence, or other mission-critical environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, enterprise infrastructure, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and modern software architectures.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, or similar enterprise technology environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture, systems engineering methodologies, digital engineering, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Experience supporting secure communications, SATCOM, software-defined networking, Zero Trust, or mission-critical infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience with software development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, data platforms, analytics, or artificial intelligence initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical and operational requirements into executable solution architectures and implementation plans.
- Experience supporting business development, capture, proposal development, technical writing, and customer solutioning activities.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinate across engineering, program management, business development, and executive leadership.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical, executive, and government stakeholders.
- Ability to balance strategic technology leadership with hands-on involvement in technical solution development.
- Experience developing strategic relationships with technology partners, OEMs, cloud providers, and systems integrators is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Relevant technical, cloud, architecture, cybersecurity, or program management certifications are preferred.
- Active DoD security clearance preferred; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required.
- Ability to travel as required to support customers, programs, partners, and business development activities.
