Summary:

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Albertsons & other regional retailers.  Deliver strategic value to assigned retailers while achieving internal organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet volume commitments through management of RPC utilization compliance & new commodity conversions

  • Build business relationships at all organizational levels across multiple departments.  Maintain critical relationships from middle management to C-suite within Produce, Distribution, Supply Chain, and E-Commerce teams

  • Advance digital strategy through partnering with key retail customers, delivering value-added pilots & expansion of program.  Support development of pricing strategy

  • Develop & advance S&OP forecast inputs to ensure predictable supply & demand

  • Deliver against Asset Utilization goals through strong retail collaboration & reverse logistics optimization

  • Drive innovation & growth through the expansion of business beyond produce into meat, eggs, bread & other categories

  • Responsible for research, analysis, and presentation of new & existing business opportunities to the IFCO leadership team

  • Collaborate with sales teams and category management to improve market share and drive incremental volume into Albertsons supply chain

  • Assist in managing grower/shipper RPC inventories with Customer Service, Category Management, Asset Management, and Operations teams

  • Directly responsible for team handling day-to-day management of Albertsons account.  Areas of focus are personal development, direction on day-to-day execution, strategies to grow the account, and ideation on emerging opportunities

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or agribusiness-related field required

  • Must be geographically located to assigned customers

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the work week to meet and work with assigned retailers and growers

  • Minimum 10 years related experience in sales--preferably in the fresh produce industry

  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with customers

  • Proven ability to maintain high-closing sales ratios

  • Demonstrated ability to establish solid rapport with produce personnel at HQ, warehouse, stores, and at the grower level.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to be self-motivated and succeed with limited direct supervision

  • Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and the capability to identify needed resources and dispatch them quickly to improve performance.

  • Computer literacy required, including proficiency in standard business applications included in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
