Our work is grounded in evidence-based strategies for adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders. We work from a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach while integrating state-of-the-art medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies to provide comprehensive care within an intimate home setting.

Rooted in compassion, clinical excellence, and evidence-based care, we support individuals on their journey toward lasting recovery.

 

The Director of Medical Services reports to the Vice President of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine and provides clinical and operational oversight for physicians and nurse practitioners (NPs) across multiple locations. This role ensures high-quality client care, supports clinical teams, and partners across departments to drive operational excellence.

The Director serves as direct supervisor to 15–20 contracted physicians and NPs, overseeing new provider onboarding, resolving system-related issues (e.g., EMR, eRx), supporting multidisciplinary collaboration, and conducting doc-to-doc reviews as needed. The Director also provides direct client care to cover for providers on leave or during periods of high volume.

 

Salary Range (MD/DO): $220,000-$280,000

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Provider Oversight & Clinical Leadership
  • Supervise and support physicians and NPs as assigned by the VP of Adolescent Medicine
  • Ensure compliance with medical and clinical policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations for assigned providers
  • Consult on escalated medical concerns from clinical teams
  1. Direct Client Care & Coverage
  • Provide direct client care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team as needed
  • Maintain clinical competency and active licensure; willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states to provide coverage as needed
  1. Operational & Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Partner with HR and IT to support provider onboarding, credentialing, and ongoing system support
  • Assist physicians and NPs with operational challenges related to Kipu, eRx, and other EHR systems
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation practices
  • Help ensure provider trainings are completed in Relias, or that appropriate documentation is provided to HR to confirm completion
  • Review and approve supervisees’ monthly invoiced hours and resolve budgetary discrepancies
  1. Quality Improvement & Compliance
  • Develop, implement, and enforce medical and clinical policies and procedures in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and performance improvement efforts
  • Support regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements
  • Support new clinical initiatives, trainings, and task force operations to advance medical care excellence enterprise-wide

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license (multi-state licensure preferred, or willingness to obtain)
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds
  • 5+ years of clinical experience, preferably in behavioral health, eating disorders, or integrated care settings
  • Prior experience supervising physicians and/or APPs strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of EHR systems, prescribing platforms, and medical compliance standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
