Director of Labor Relations

Delaware North is hiring a full-time Director of Labor Relations to join our team at our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. As the Director of Labor Relations, you will be responsible for supporting a proactive, business-focused labor strategy across the organization.

• Work closely with human resources, operations, legal, and senior leadership to support consistent labor practices, strengthen manager capability, and promote effective relationships with union partners and team members 
• Support the development and execution of labor relations strategies that align with business priorities, operational needs, and collective bargaining obligations 
• Assist with collective bargaining preparation, contract interpretation, grievance handling, arbitration preparation, and labor-management meetings 
• Partner cross-functionally to assess labor risk, resolve workplace issues, and ensure consistent application of collective bargaining agreements and company policies 
• Provide guidance to field leaders and business partners on labor relations fundamentals, including contract obligations, documentation, issue prevention, and manager coaching 
• Conduct research, prepare materials, track action items, and support follow-through related to negotiations, grievances, labor-management discussions, and other labor matters 

• Minimum of 10 years of collective bargaining agreement (CBA) labor relations experience required, preferably in the hospitality or service industry, but will consider all industries
• Experience working with Union Here or UFCW a plus
• Juris Doctor degree is desirable
• Relationship Management skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Ability to work in a team environment, but also able to work autonomously
• Able to travel 35%+ of the time.  

• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 35%+ to support business needs, labor matters, negotiations, and field leader partnership.
