What are we looking for?

We are seeking a visionary and highly technical Director of Developer Advocate, Application Security to lead our engagement with the global development community in the era of Agentic AI.

This role sits at the intersection of deep technical expertise, developer experience, ecosystem growth, and go-to-market strategy. You will shape how developers, platform teams, and security engineers understand, adopt, and advocate for Agentic Application Security.

You are not just building community; you are defining a movement.

Key Responsibilities

Developer Ecosystem & Community Leadership

  • Build and scale a global developer community around Agentic Application Security
  • Establish the company as a trusted authority in the AI-driven development lifecycle
  • Engage with developers across GitHub, Discord, Slack, LinkedIn, conferences, and meetups
  • Cultivate developer champions, contributors, and ecosystem partners
  • Represent the voice of the developer internally to influence product and strategy

Agentic Thought Leadership

  • Define and evangelize best practices for securing AI-generated and agent-created code
  • Publish technical blogs, architectural guides, and deep-dive content
  • Speak at industry conferences, webinars, podcasts, and technical events
  • Create narrative frameworks around ADLC vs. SDLC and AI-native security

Technical Content & Product Storytelling

  • Deliver live and on-demand webinars and Agentic AI Labs for developers and security engineers
  • Record high-quality product demos and walkthroughs
  • Develop hands-on tutorials, sample applications, and technical playbooks
  • Create product-level technical documentation that balances depth and clarity
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to align technical messaging with GTM strategy

Go-To-Market Alignment

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to support strategic accounts
  • Equip AEs with technical narratives and demo support
  • Participate in field enablement initiatives
  • Drive adoption within strategic developer communities

Requirements

What is needed to succeed?

  • 10+ years in software development, DevSecOps, AppSec, or platform engineering
  • Deep understanding of modern development workflows and AI coding assistants
  • Experience speaking publicly and engaging technical audiences
  • Proven ability to build and nurture technical communities
  • Strong technical writing and demo storytelling capabilities
  • Experience bridging Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams

Preferred:

  • Background in Application Security, DevOps, or AI/LLM technologies
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS environments
  • Prior developer advocate or technical evangelist experience
