The Director of Data Analytics will lead the enterprise data, business intelligence, and AI strategy to drive operational decision-making and business value. They are responsible for governing data architecture, establishing data quality standards, and managing a portfolio of automation and AI initiatives.
Build the data foundation that helps Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) make faster, better decisions. The Director of Data Analytics will lead CPFD’s enterprise data, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and automation capabilities, turning operational data into governed, reliable information and measurable business value.
What You’ll Lead
Develop and execute CPFD’s enterprise data and analytics strategy, annual roadmap, investment priorities, and business cases.
Lead and develop Analytics and Business Intelligence personnel and establish clear ownership for reporting, data models, data quality, and automation.
Partner with executive and division leaders to prioritize initiatives and communicate progress, risk, adoption, and realized value.
Govern Power BI reporting, semantic models, key performance indicators, security, deployments, documentation, support, performance, adoption, and self-service analytics.
Define the target data architecture and authoritative sources across ERP, WMS, SharePoint, Power Apps, operational spreadsheets, customer and supplier data, and future platforms.
Establish practical data governance, including data owners and stewards, business definitions, quality rules, classification, role-based access, and protection of sensitive information.
Maintain a prioritized AI and automation portfolio with defined value, risk, feasibility, ownership, responsible-use, cybersecurity, monitoring, human-review, and support requirements.
Deliver measurable analytics, AI, and automation use cases across procurement, finance, inventory, demand, reporting, transportation, logistics, and knowledge-agent scenarios.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, business, finance, supply chain, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
5+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data management, including project leadership responsibility.
Strong experience with Power BI, semantic modeling, data visualization, SQL-based data platforms, integration, data quality, security, and access controls.
Understanding of responsible AI, automation governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, documentation, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Experience
Distribution, supply chain, inventory, transportation, or finance analytics.
Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, Dataverse, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or comparable platforms.
