North Carolina Driver License (Valid) - NC Division of Motor Vehicles

 

Experience We're Looking For:

Experience with person-centered support, behavioral plans, budgets, and activities of daily living | 3 years | Not Required Experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, community, or day program settings | 5 years | Not Required Experience working in a day program or community-based setting with individuals receiving behavioral health, developmental disability, or long-term care services | 3 years | Not Required Experience working with children or adults (dependent upon population served) with a mental health diagnosis or an intellectual/developmental disability | 1-4 years (Dependent Upon Education - see Job Description) | Required Management Experience | 5 years | Not Required

  

Job Description Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Director of Community Services is to support and oversee quality implementation of services across all assigned services being delivered.

 

What You'll Do:

•    Responsible for clinical and administrative responsibilities delegated by the VP as it pertains to best practices and community service delivery.
•    Provide supervision, training, and coaching to all QP level staff assigned.  Leads a team that focused on sustaining quality programs while also developing new initiatives that enhance services. 
•    Initiate and maintain systems that produce reports and data on productivity of staffing, authorization and clinical expectations. 
•    Works closely with Referral Department to process and assign new referrals.
•    Develops plans, organizes, implements, and coordinates operations in a manner that promotes growth and achievement for individuals supported, staff, agency, community, and all other stakeholders.
•    Uses a range of communication skills and strategies to establish a mutual relationship with the individual, staff, co-workers, supervisors, and community stakeholders
•    Work with Performance Improvement and perform internal audits to ensure all medical records are complaint with agency policy, state rules and accrediting body regulations.
•    Participate and interact regularly with MCO’s as it relates to processes, authorizations, service development, etc. 
•    Report and share information with the Vice President of LTSS to ensure he/she is kept fully informed on the condition of the assigned areas of service and important factors influencing those services. Prepare high quality written reports which succinctly identify outcomes.
•    Provides leadership and provide local leadership during periods of implementation for new programs and services.
•    Oversee the development and execution of the agreed upon projects, action plans and deliverables.  
•    Maintain trainings as required and requested
•    Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
•    Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
•    Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
•    Driving and travel may be required
