Build the Future with Us — EquipmentShare is Hiring a Director Jobsite Communications
At EquipmentShare, we’re not just filling a role — we’re assembling the best team on the planet to build something that’s never been built before. We’re on a mission to transform an industry that’s been stuck in the past by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology, real-time support, and a team that truly cares.
We’re hiring a Director Jobsite Communications who will lead the growth and operations of our radio rental business. Our radio portfolio includes standard two-way radios, intrinsically safe radios, digital radios, Motorola R7 radios, repeaters, antennas, chargers, speakers/microphones, and related communication equipment. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth across our telecommunications offering. The Director will own the end-to-end telecommunications rental operation - from determining the right equipment and fleet strategy, to ensuring radios are configured, maintained, deployed, returned, and ready for the next customer. This leader will also work closely with Sales, Operations, Technology, Service, and field teams to make radio rentals a scalable and profitable part of the EquipmentShare business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for growing EquipmentShare's telecommunications rental offering.
- Partner with Sales to educate teams on the radio portfolio, use cases, capabilities, and limitations, and develop compelling rental solutions tailored to construction, industrial, utility, event, and other customer needs.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small team of telecommunications professionals.
Fleet Lifecycle
- Establish the right mix of radios, accessories, and communication solutions for different customer and jobsite requirements.
- Develop and own the end-to-end radio fleet strategy and lifecycle, including purchasing, replacement, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, refurbishment, and retirement, based on utilization, demand, profitability, technology, and total cost of ownership.
- Monitor fleet utilization and identify opportunities to improve asset productivity.
- Develop and manage processes for tracking, preventing, and recovering lost or damaged radio equipment, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing financial impact.
Operations and Process
- Create scalable operating procedures for quoting, provisioning, programming, deployment, returns, inspection, repair, and redeployment.
- Establish standards for radio configuration, programming, labeling, inventory control, and readiness.
- Establish service-level expectations and performance metrics for the radio business.
Technical and Vendor
- Maintain deep working knowledge of two-way radio technology, including digital radio systems, repeaters, antennas, accessories, and intrinsically safe equipment.
- Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with all applicable FCC requirements and telecommunications regulations.
- Partner with vendors and manufacturers to manage product relationships.
- Work with internal technology teams to integrate telecommunications capabilities with EquipmentShare's broader T3 platform and connected-jobsite strategy.
Commercial and Reporting
- Own and report on key business metrics including revenue, gross margin, utilization, fleet productivity, repair costs, loss rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular business updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
