Position Overview

Belite Bio is seeking a highly skilled AD/Director of IT to lead our technology infrastructure with a specialized focus on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and policy development. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our technology ecosystems are secure, scalable, and fully aligned with global compliance standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background combined with extensive experience authoring enterprise IT policies and navigating complex regulatory frameworks.  This role will also be expected to support IT asset management, including potentially configuring devices for new hires in coordination with other IT personnel.

Key Responsibilities

IT Governance, Policy & Documentation

• Draft, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity and operational security. 

• • Maintain the IT Compliance policy and procedure inventory, including document lifecycle tracking, review schedules, version control, approvals, publication, acknowledgments, retirement, and archival.
  • Coordinate IT policy approval workflows by working with reviewers, approvers, Legal, Compliance leadership, and other stakeholders to support timely review and documented approval.
  • Ensure IT policies, procedures, and related documents are consistently formatted, current, accessible, and aligned with applicable laws, regulations, industry guidance, Company standards, and operational needs.

• Establish governance frameworks that align IT strategy with overall business objectives and risk management protocols.
• Translate complex technical concepts and IT-related legal regulations into clear, actionable internal policies for employees.

IT Compliance & Risk Management

• Oversee IT-related compliance with relevant industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, SOX) depending on applicability
• Lead internal and external IT audits, serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and auditors.
• Conduct regular IT-related risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to proactively mitigate data breaches and operational failures.

IT Quality Assurance

• Develop and enforce IT Quality Management Systems (QMS) to standardize software deployment, system validation, and infrastructure changes.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for IT quality.

Strategic Leadership & Operations

• Provide vision and leadership for the IT department, managing a team of technical professionals, engineers, and analysts.
• Manage the IT budget, optimizing resource allocation for hardware, software, vendor services, and compliance tooling.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, and executive leadership to align technology initiatives with company-wide compliance goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or directorial role.
• Proven track record of successfully writing, rolling out, and enforcing IT policies at an enterprise level.
• Deep experience managing IT compliance audits and working within structured quality frameworks.

Certifications (Highly Desired)

• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)
• ITIL Foundation or Master certification
• PMP (Project Management Professional)

Technical & Soft Skills

• Exceptional technical writing skills with the ability to draft meticulous, legally sound documentation.
• Strong understanding of modern IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), network security, and data privacy laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and high attention to detail.

Salary Disclosure

Pay Range: $172,000 to $200,000 USD (Salary offered will depend on candidate location, market rate adjustments, skills, and relevant experience).

Belite Bio provides a competitive total compensation package that includes base salary, annual incentive bonuses, equity participation, and a full benefit package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off).
