The Development Manager oversees the design and build phase of Banking Hub solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They manage supplier relationships, track project performance, and ensure compliance with governance and delegated authority levels.
The Development Manager is responsible for managing the Design and Build phase of a portfolio of Banking Hub solutions. They manage the progression of work, providing regular reports and flagging priority risks and issues to the Senior Development Manager.
Key accountabilities include:
Lead the plan regards the design and build phase of projects to ensure the design and fit out of Banking Hub solutions is completed to time, quality and budget.
Create strong working relationship with suppliers, and ensure they are carrying out tasks efficiently whilst adhering to required standards, SLAs and policies. Create project plans, manage RAID logs and identify critical paths. Escalate issues as appropriate.
Track project performance and report this for governance meetings and other reporting as required.
Work closely with the Acquisition Managers and Delivery Support Managers to deliver the collective objective of opening Hubs within timescales required. Follow processes and ensure excellent communication regards any ‘hand offs or hand ins’ provide a smooth transition of responsibilities between teams.
Accountable for compliance within Delegated Authority levels regards processes, including cost approvals, build variations and change control regards time and cost
Ensure governance is followed for stage gate approvals and milestones.
Establish reviews at appropriate points during and after projects, providing evaluation of progress, continuous improvement opportunities
Strong communication skills with an ability to negotiate and develop strong relationships
Experience of managing retail fitouts is preferred
Project Management skills are required
Ability to work across multiple projects and balance differing priorities
High-level of attention to detail
Strong sense of autonomy and ability to work in a small team with limited oversight
Ability to work and thrive in a dynamic, often ambiguous environment
