Dental Insurance Billing Specialist (Remote) 

Compensation: $18 to $25/hour (with 5+ years of dental practice experience) 
Schedule: Remote, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in your local time zone 

About the Role 

The Dental Practice Mechanics is seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Billing Specialist to join our growing remote team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong dental billing experience and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage the dental revenue cycle, including insurance payment posting and claim processing. 

• Submit clean claims and resolve claim rejections and denials. 

• Apply insurance payment adjustments and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) procedures. 

• Maintain accounts receivable and work to reduce insurance aging. 

• Utilize payer portals, clearinghouses, and practice management software. 

• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate patient account documentation. 

• Support a portfolio of 4 to 5 dental practice clients. 

Qualifications 

• Minimum 5 years of dental insurance billing experience, including multi-office account management. 

• Strong knowledge of CDT coding, dental terminology, and revenue cycle management. 

• Experience with insurance payer websites, EFT retrieval, claims submission, and payment posting. 

• Familiarity with clearinghouses; Vyne experience preferred. 

• Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Dentrix, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams. 

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. 

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred. 

Success Metrics 

• Maintain 98%+ posting accuracy. 

• Achieve a 90%+ audit score.
