The Data Science Senior Advisor will lead complex analytics initiatives supporting the Pharmacy and Clinical Outcomes Research team. This role partners with clinical, pharmacy, and business stakeholders to evaluate programs, identify opportunities, and generate actionable insights that inform business strategy and improve affordability, health outcomes, and total cost of care. The position requires strong technical expertise, healthcare analytics experience, and the ability to independently lead projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex analytics projects focused on pharmacy, clinical condition, health outcomes, and total cost of care strategies.
  • Design and execute program evaluations, outcomes research studies, opportunity analyses, matched case-control studies, and other advanced analytical approaches.
  • Analyze large healthcare claims datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that support business and clinical decision-making.
  • Partner with clinical, product, finance, and business stakeholders to define project objectives, methodologies, and strategic recommendations.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, managing scope, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Mentor junior analysts and data scientists by providing technical guidance, reviewing work products, and promoting analytics best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve analytical efficiency, and develop scalable analytic frameworks and solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, clinical outcomes research, pharmacy analytics, data science, or a related field.
  • Strong experience working with healthcare claims data, including medical and pharmacy claims, and translating analyses into business-focused recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with analytics tools such as Databricks, Python, R, or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex analytical projects and influencing stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with study design, program evaluation, causal inference methods, and/or health outcomes research.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience mentoring analysts and contributing to technical best practices preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field required; advanced degree preferred.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 131,200 - 218,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
