Our client in the UK is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Executive to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their career in data, marketing, or analytics to gain hands-on experience in list building, data hygiene, and reporting.
You'll work closely with the wider team to ensure data is accurate, well-maintained, and used effectively to support business decisions. This apprenticeship combines structured on-the-job training with formal learning, building the skills and knowledge needed for a long-term career in data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
List Building
- Source, build, and segment data lists to support marketing, sales, or outreach campaigns.
- Ensure lists are targeted, accurate, and compliant with relevant data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR).
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand list requirements and criteria.
Data Hygiene
- Regularly clean, validate, and de-duplicate data across systems.
- Identify and correct inconsistencies, errors, and outdated records.
- Support the maintenance of data quality standards and best practices.
- Help develop and follow processes for keeping databases up to date.
Reporting & Dashboards
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards.
- Support the wider team with ad hoc data requests and analysis.
- Help ensure data used in reporting is accurate and consistent.
- Learn to use reporting/BI tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to visualise data effectively.
General
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to understand data needs.
- Support wider data projects and initiatives as required.
- Attend training sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework as part of the programme.
Requirements
Essential
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a genuine interest in data.
- Ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple tasks.
Desirable
- Some exposure to data tools (e.g. CRM systems, Excel formulas, Power BI/Tableau).
- Interest in a career in data, analytics, or marketing operations.
- Basic understanding of data protection principles (e.g. GDPR).
