It brings structure to KPIs, ownership to reporting, and confidence to decision-making.Your Role As our Payments Data Analyst, you will own payments reporting and KPI governance end-to-end in Power BI. The role reports to the Head of BI, with Payments and high-level management as key stakeholders.This is an experienced individual contributor role for someone who thrives on precision, consistency, and analytical depth. You will ensure our payment performance data isaccurate, structured, anddecision-ready. You will translate complex operational and business questions into robust SQL logic and clear, actionable dashboards.Your work will make trends visible, anomalies understandable, and risks measurable – enabling the company to act with confidence.What You'll Be Doing - Own and continuously improve end-to-end payments dashboards in Power BI
- Maintain andoptimizethe payments BI infrastructure and data organization
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all payment KPIs
- Standardize KPI definitions across Product, Operations, Finance, and Risk
- Translate business questions into structured SQL queries and meaningful reporting
- Lead ad-hoc investigations (authorization drops, decline spikes, PSP comparisons, recovery performance)
- Proactivelyidentifyanomalies, performance trends, and emerging risks
- Improve documentation and clarity of payment data models
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure reporting aligns with operational reality
- Collaborate closely with the BI team for peer review and quality assurance before findings and reports reach stakeholders
What You'll Need - 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics (payments or fintech strongly preferred)
- Advanced Power BIexpertise(data modeling, DAX, performance optimization)
- Strong SQL skills, with confidence querying andvalidatingcomplex tables in SQL Server
- Familiarity with Azure and Microsoft Fabric is a plus
- Experience working with payment data (PSPs, recurring flows, refunds, chargebacks)
- Deep familiarity with core payment KPIs, including:
- Authorization rate (gross vs. net)
- Decline reason analysis
- Retry performance
- Involuntary churn & recovery
- Fraud and chargeback ratios
- A strong mindset for data structure, governance, and documentation
- Ability to explain complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Rigorous self-review habits and willingness tovalidatefindings with colleagues before sharing them onward
- Direct experience with PSPs or acquirers (e.g.Adyen, Checkout)
- Experience with payment orchestration platforms (e.g.Spreedly)
- Experience in subscription or recurring billing environments
- Basic Python skills for analysis or automation
