📊 Job Description: Data Analyst
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to manage and analyze a large inventory database of approximately 200,000 SKU numbers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, particularly advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Power Query, to ensure accurate reporting, data validation, and actionable insights. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to transform raw data into meaningful business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, clean, and validate SKU-level data across multiple sources.
- Use Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query) to organize, reconcile, and analyze large datasets.
- Generate accurate inventory, sales, and performance reports for management.
- Identify data discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, procurement) to provide data-driven insights.
- Develop dashboards and reporting templates to streamline decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality in all reporting activities.
✅ Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or inventory-heavy industries.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, conditional formatting, data validation).
- Strong knowledge of data cleaning, reconciliation, and reporting techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL or other database tools is an advantage.
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools is a plus.
