This position is full-time (40 hours / week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

We offer 2 - 3 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be based off your schedule. Shift will be assigned upon start.

   

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Scheduling incoming and outgoing peer to peer reviews
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from providers
  • Other duties as assigned

   

This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with providers over the phone. You also must be able to work a flexible schedule and proactively multi-task.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in an office, administrative, clerical environment using phones and computers as primary job tools
  • Experience working remotely from home
  • Experience with computers and Windows based programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (view, filter, sort) and Microsoft Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • Experience working in a call center

   

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
