Credit Analyst (Mortgage Broking)
Overview
Join an established Australian mortgage broking practice as their Credit Analyst, working fully remote while playing a key role in structuring and placing loans across a diverse panel of lenders.
Role Summary
This role owns credit analysis and serviceability assessments across the full loan lifecycle, from initial scenario research through to submission and settlement. You will calculate serviceability across multiple lenders, research credit policy to identify the best fit for each client scenario, and liaise directly with BDMs on policy positions and product suitability. The role extends into complex lending scenarios, including low doc, commercial, and non bank lending for company and trust borrowers, working across a broad lender panel. You will prepare and submit applications, track files through to settlement, and keep sales trackers and client records accurate and current, working closely with the broker to keep every file moving.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct serviceability calculations across multiple lenders based on client briefs
Research lender credit policies and identify viable loan options for each scenario, including low doc, trust, and non-bank lending
Liaise with BDMs to clarify policy positions and product suitability
Prepare and submit loan applications through compliance and AOL
Manage file progress from submission through to settlement, including follow-ups on conditions and valuations
Maintain and update sales tracker and client records
Support post-settlement administration as required
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in an Australian mortgage broking support or credit analysis role required
Strong understanding of lender credit policies, serviceability tools, and lending guidelines
Experience with low doc, trust, and non-bank lending, including company and trust borrower structures
Familiarity with lenders such as Resimac, Pepper, Thinktank, Latrobe, Liberty, and Orde
Ability to work independently and manage multiple files simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
Familiarity with ACR requirements and broker compliance frameworks
Requirements

Proactive attitude, able to follow up clients, lenders, and third parties without being prompted
