AI Summary

The Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing client financials, running servicing calculations, and structuring loan applications for submission. They manage the loan journey from initial assessment through to unconditional approval while maintaining accurate CRM records.

Join an award-winning Sydney-based mortgage broking firm in a fully remote credit role, with access to a panel of more than 40 lenders and well over a thousand loan products, and a team that wants you to build a long-term career with them.

Role Summary
The Credit Analyst owns the credit side of the loan journey, from assessing client financials and running servicing calculations through to structuring, packaging and lodging applications and managing them to unconditional approval. Day to day you will review income, liabilities, living expenses and credit reports, test borrowing capacity across multiple lenders, research credit policy and product niches, and recommend the best-fit lender and structure for each scenario. You will then prepare complete, compliant applications, order valuations and pricing, and liaise with lenders, assessors and BDMs to keep every file moving. Working closely with the brokers as their analytical engine, you will keep the CRM and file notes accurate so the team always knows exactly where each deal sits, and you will support scenario workshopping across home loans, investment lending, refinances and the occasional commercial deal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess client financials, including income, liabilities, living expenses, credit reports and supporting documents

  • Run servicing and borrowing capacity calculations across multiple lenders to test scenarios and maximize client outcomes

  • Research lender credit policy and product niches, and recommend the best-fit lender and structure for each client scenario

  • Prepare, package and lodge complete, compliant loan applications, ensuring every file is right the first time

  • Order valuations and pricing requests, and manage lender requirements through assessment to unconditional approval

  • Liaise with lenders, assessors and BDMs to resolve queries and keep applications moving to approval and settlement

  • Keep the CRM and file notes accurate and up to date so brokers always know where each deal sits

  • Support brokers with scenario workshopping across home loans, investment lending, refinances and commercial deals

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience within an Australian mortgage broking or lending business in a credit analyst, loan processing or credit assessment capacity

  • A sound understanding of Australian residential lending, including servicing calculations, lender credit policy and the loan process from application through to settlement, with exposure to commercial lending highly regarded

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with sharp attention to detail, able to spot the gap in a file before a lender does

  • Well organized and deadline-driven, able to manage multiple active files and competing priorities

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Confident using broker CRMs, lender lodgement platforms and servicing calculators

  • Demonstrated employment stability, with a preference for candidates who have stayed with previous employers for approximately two years or more

  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career within the business and growing alongside the team

Requirements

  • Stable work-from-home setup (reliable internet, laptop/desktop, quiet workspace)

  • Proactive attitude, able to follow up clients, lenders, and third parties without being prompted

  • Available to work Australian business hours

Benefits

  • Full-time, work-from-home

  • Long-term, stable role with an award-winning brokerage that is looking for someone to grow with the team

  • Training and support provided

  • Work directly alongside experienced brokers with a broad lender panel and clear file processes
