  • Paul Winkeler- Supervisor
  • Up to 15 hours weekly. Schedule to be determined with supervisor.
  • Remote in Austin area
  • New OnRamps student employee pay is $12.00 hourly. Returning OnRamps student employee pay is $13.00 hourly. Returning 2 years or more OnRamps student employee pay is $14.00 hourly. Professional development completion + Returning 2 years or more OnRamps student employee pay is $14.50

 

Position effective August 16-December 31, 2026

Open to The University of Texas at Austin Undergraduate students only.

 

General Notes

OnRamps prepares students and teachers for success in the classroom and beyond. We build partnerships across K12 and higher education to raise the bar on dynamic experiences that advance student success while lowering barriers to access and opportunity.

 

Purpose

OnRamps Course Graders support course management in the OnRamps Statistics course through exam grading and other small tasks. They provide sustained contributions to ongoing initiatives as well as just-in-time assistance with seasonal and urgent projects. OnRamps Course Graders work on day-to-day operational aspects of OnRamps, pursuing excellence in all aspects of project and customer service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.
  • Attends calibration meetings and participates in training to align feedback and deepen transferrable skills
  • Assists with seasonal and urgent projects that align to the OnRamps mission

 

Required Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Statistics or Math or related discipline.
  • Successful completion of a Statistics course at the University of Texas, having earned a grade of B or better.
  • Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Canvas LMS.

 

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual-enrollment and college-readiness initiatives.
  • Successful completion of SDS 301 – Elementary Statistical Methods, having earned a grade of B or better; Statistics coursework beyond introductory Statistics.
  • Expert computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; R programming experience.
  • Experience with MS Outlook and/or Smartsheet

Salary

$12.00 - $14.50 hourly
