Job Description

The Conference Planning Expert leads the end-to-end planning and execution of corporate conferences, meetings, and events. This senior-level individual contributor role operates independently, with significant autonomy in decision-making and the authority to drive outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

The Expert is responsible for shaping event strategy, managing logistics, and ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality experiences. Success in this role is defined by the achievement of established objectives, with performance evaluated based on results and overall impact.

This role requires occasional international travel.  A valid passport is required for such travel.  If a candidate does not already possess a passport, they must be able to obtain one upon hire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a recognized subject matter expert, providing guidance and consultation on complex issues within assigned areas of expertise from an internal business perspective.

  • Provides support and backup for program and process management activities to ensure continuity and consistency of operations.

  • Acts as a liaison between field teams and other assigned areas of responsibility, fostering clear communication and collaboration when needed.

  • Negotiates on behalf of the organization to secure the most cost-effective pricing and high-quality services.

  • Prepares and manages formal requests for vendor proposals to support business needs.

  • Establishes, evaluates, and strengthens vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery and timely responsiveness.

  • Serves as a liaison between business units and supporting systems or functional areas, based on program requirements.

  • Develops detailed cost-benefit analyses to support strategic decision-making.

  • Forecasts short-term and long-term deliverables across functional areas to support program success.

  • Consistently plans, implements, manages, or provides executive sponsorship for highly complex and large-scale initiatives in alignment with established program management standards.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 85,000.00 - 145,075.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
