β Short Description:
We are looking for an experienced Copywriter to lead and scale our copywriting department within a fast-paced e-commerce retention marketing agency. In this role, you will own the full copywriting function: writing high-performing email marketing copy, managing and developing a copywriting team, improving departmental workflows, and driving AI-assisted content innovation. You will collaborate closely with strategists and clients to deliver campaign copy that meets measurable performance standards across a portfolio of DTC accounts.

πΌ Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the copywriting team through regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and structured development plans, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work across all client accounts.
Research, write, and iterate on direct-response email marketing copy for a portfolio of e-commerce clients, collaborating with strategists to refine messaging and implement revisions.
Own and continuously improve AI-assisted copywriting workflows, including prompt development, training materials, and knowledge bases, while coaching team members on effective AI tool usage.
Develop and maintain departmental KPIs, processes, and best practices to improve team productivity and support scalable operations.
Participate in hiring and onboarding initiatives and contribute to building a growing copywriting function aligned with company performance goals.
π‘ Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in direct-response copywriting, with a focus on email marketing for e-commerce or DTC brands.
Proven experience leading or managing a copywriting or content team in an agency or high-volume environment.
Deep understanding of direct-response copywriting principles, email marketing strategy, and consumer psychology applied to e-commerce.
Hands-on experience with AI-powered content creation tools and the ability to build and refine AI-assisted workflows.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects on time with minimal revision rounds.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Braze, or equivalent) and broader digital marketing channels including paid media, SEO, or social media.
Advanced English proficiency (C1+), both written and verbal, with the ability to produce client-facing copy at a native or near-native level.
