Job Title: Contracts Specialist

Job Description

The Contracts Specialist reviews client contracts and issues insurance certificates in accordance with contractual requirements. This role ensures that insurance terms and documentation comply with client-specific conditions, manages a high volume of time-sensitive requests, and maintains accurate records. You work in a fast-paced environment where strong attention to detail, solid contract comprehension, and clear communication are essential to supporting risk management and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret client contracts to identify insurance requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Issue insurance certificates that accurately reflect contractual insurance terms and conditions.
  • Ensure all insurance documentation complies with client-specific contractual requirements and internal standards.
  • Manage a high volume of time-sensitive contract and certificate requests while maintaining accuracy and completeness.
  • Work within spreadsheets to track, organize, and update contract and insurance certificate information.
  • Create and maintain simple formulas in Excel to support reporting, data validation, and documentation control.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, insurance certificates, and related correspondence.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding insurance terms, certificate requests, and compliance matters.
  • Identify discrepancies or gaps in insurance requirements and escalate or resolve them in line with established procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement of contract review and insurance certificate issuance processes in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience reviewing and interpreting client contracts.
  • At least 3 years of experience issuing insurance certificates.
  • At least 3 years of experience ensuring compliance with contractual insurance requirements.
  • Proficiency working within spreadsheets and creating simple formulas in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in contract and insurance documentation.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid contract comprehension and ability to interpret insurance-related clauses.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
  • Organizational skills to maintain structured and complete records of contracts and certificates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
  • Experience in data entry with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
  • Exposure to finance or insurance environments and terminology.
  • Prior experience with contract review beyond insurance requirements.
  • Familiarity with insurance practices and documentation processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting across various time zones.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position that allows you to work from any time zone, providing flexibility in how you structure your day while aligning with business needs. You collaborate virtually with a larger team of peers already supporting this account, contributing to a high-volume, fast-paced operation focused on contract review and insurance certificate issuance. Work is primarily performed using spreadsheets and other standard office productivity tools, with an emphasis on digital documentation, online communication, and organized record-keeping in a remote environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camp Hill, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.50/hr.
