Overview


CACTUS is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to support its client services in Korea, targeting Korean researchers and academics to drive conversions for the client’s webshop.

We are seeking an India-based specialist with native-level Korean proficiency and hands-on experience with the Naver advertising ecosystem to manage campaign activation, execution, and optimization. You will primarily work with platforms such as Naver Search (Power Link), Naver GFA, Hibrainnet, ResearchGate.

This is a 6-month contractual opportunity.


Responsibilities


  • Set up and manage Naver Search Ads (Power Link) targeting Korean-language research and academic keywords.
  • Plan and execute Naver GFA (GFA – Guaranteed for Advertisers) campaigns across Naver Cafe communities and the Naver news feed.
  • Manage Hibrainnet display ad placements targeting the Korean academic and research community.
  • Manage ResearchGate advertising campaigns for the Korea market.
  • Write and localize ad copy, headlines, and CTAs in natural Korean, tailored to each platform.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily, tracking CTR, CPC, impressions, and conversion rates.
  • Optimize keyword bids, audience targeting, and creatives based on performance data.
  • Prepare monthly campaign performance reports for internal stakeholders and client review.
  • Collaborate with the account manager on campaign approvals and creative feedback.
  • Provide insights on Korean academic community behavior and platform-specific best practices.

Qualifications and Prerequisites


  • Professional level Korean language proficiency (written and spoken); TOPIK certification will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in digital marketing or paid media campaign management, with hands-on experience running campaigns on Naver Search Ads (Power Link) and/or Naver GFA.
  • Strong understanding of the Korean digital advertising ecosystem, particularly Naver as the primary search and discovery platform.
  • Proven ability to analyze campaign performance, optimize campaigns, and prepare performance reports.
  • Experience working with Hibrainnet or other academic/research-focused advertising platforms in Korea will be preferred.
  • Prior exposure to academic publishing, research services, or B2B digital marketing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Naver Cafe community targeting and engagement with academic or research communities.
  • Experience marketing to researchers, graduate students, or academic institutions in Korea will be an added advantage.
