Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities
As a vital member of our Compliance team, the Compliance Specialist ensures all temporary healthcare professionals meet regulatory and client-specific compliance standards prior to assignment start dates. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our services by upholding standards set by HIPAA, OSHA, The Joint Commission, Homeland Security, Trio WFS, and various client organizations.

Principal Responsibilities
Responsible for leading, monitoring, and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process.
Ensures interpretation and compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Maintains set production and quality standards
Verifies that all submitted credentials are current and complete
Verifies all credentials, including license and applicable certifications
Maintains accurate records of all files in Trio VMS
Communicates applicable updates and notices to agencies
Monitors expiration dates of credentials and COI
Maintains privacy and confidentiality (intentional or unintentional) of company and employee information in verbal, written, and electronic form. Limits access to all information to job-related on a need-to-know basis.
Notifies respective senior managers of problem-causing trends with vendors on items needing attention
Use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required
1–2 years of experience in credentialing, onboarding, compliance, or staffing operations
Experience working in high-volume administrative or compliance environments
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems including VMS, and credentialing platforms
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience working with MSP clients and VMS technology
Experience credentialing locums providers with healthcare facilities, communicating with CVO, MSO, and Provider Enrollment teams.
