Position Summary

We’re looking for a skilled and adaptable Content Specialist to join our marketing team. In this role, you’ll execute written content strategies across channels — blogs, emails, webinars, ebooks, video scripts, social content, sales campaigns, and more — that drive revenue and move users toward clear, intent-driven actions.

This is not a role for someone who waits for a brief to write. We’re looking for a writer who thinks strategically, moves quickly, partners cross-functionally, and embraces AI as a core part of their workflow. You’ll work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and broader marketing stakeholders to ensure content supports campaign timelines, enables downstream teams, and maintains a strong and cohesive brand voice.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Execution

•     Execute written content strategies aligned to revenue, thought leadership, and marketing objectives within defined lines of business, ensuring work is delivered on time and supports broader campaign timelines.

•     Develop high-quality written assets across formats — blogs, ebooks, emails, webinars, sales campaigns, video scripts, social content, and more — that generate revenue and move users toward clear intent-driven actions.

•     Partner with Marketing stakeholders to plan, sequence, and deliver content that enables downstream execution across teams.

•     Apply SEO principles and best practices to content where applicable, in partnership with the Digital Marketing team.

Downstream Impact & Cross-Functional Collaboration

•     Create content that serves as the foundational asset for multi-channel campaigns, maintaining a strong and cohesive brand voice, with the understanding that delayed delivery directly impacts the execution timelines of other teams.

•     Repurpose and tailor content across channels while maintaining consistent messaging and meeting agreed-upon production schedules.

•     Communicate proactively with stakeholders when timelines or scope shift, and help problem-solve to keep campaigns on track.

AI-Enabled Content Production

•     Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and others) as a required component of your workflow — for brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revisions — to improve efficiency, explore multiple angles, and tighten messaging.

•     Apply strong editorial judgment to all AI-assisted output to ensure it reflects The CE Shop’s brand voice, accuracy standards, and audience expectations. AI accelerates the work; your judgment defines the quality.

•     Identify which content projects are appropriate for heavier AI assistance vs. those requiring more original, human-led development, and calibrate your approach accordingly.

•     Participate in ongoing AI tool training and contribute to refining shared prompting templates, workflows, and best practices across the content team.

•     Stay current on emerging AI writing tools and proactively surface new capabilities that could benefit the team’s productivity.

Skills Required:

Writing & Content Skills

•     3+ years of professional writing or content marketing experience, ideally in a B2C or ed-tech environment.

•     Exceptional writing skills with the ability to flex across formats: long-form editorial, short-form email copy, scripts, promotional content, and social.

•     Strong grasp of content strategy — you understand why a piece of content exists and what it’s supposed to do, not just how to write it.

•     Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and how they inform content decisions.

AI Fluency (Required)

•     Demonstrated comfort using AI writing tools in a professional or portfolio context. We’ll ask about this in interviews.

•     Ability to write clear, effective prompts that produce useful output — and the editorial eye to know when that output needs significant rework.

•     Openness to learning new AI tools as they emerge and adapting your workflow accordingly.

•     You view AI as a collaborator that makes you faster and sharper — not a crutch, and not a threat.

Collaboration & Operations

•     Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, product, and sales teams.

•     Organized and deadline-driven — able to manage multiple content projects simultaneously without dropping balls.

•     Proactive communicator who flags issues early and manages stakeholder expectations well.

•     Experience with project management tools (Asana, Monday, Notion, or similar) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
