Internal Opportunity – Consulting Team Roles
As we prepare for several upcoming retirements, FAS will be posting multiple full-time (W-2) positions on the Consulting Team to backfill these roles. Competencies and Expectations

· Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for institutions utilizing interim staffing services, ensuring trust, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships.

· Operational Ownership: Take responsibility for assigned work by ensuring tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with project expectations and compliance requirements standards, and quality expectations.

· Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain awareness of Title IV and financial aid compliance requirements to ensure task and functions are completed within all regulatory frameworks.

· Business Growth & Engagement Expansion: Identify opportunities to expand interim staffing services into broader consulting or operational partnerships with existing clients

· Knowledge Transfer & Continuity: Ensure interim staff engagements include clear documentation and knowledge transfer to client teams, minimizing disruption at the end of assignments.

· Modeling Professionalism & FAS Values: Demonstrate Innovation, Integrity, Relationships Matter, Diversity & Belonging, and Excellence in every client and team interaction, setting the standard for interim staff.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Operational Support & Efficiency: Contributes to project excellence through quality work, organizing tasks, following project plans, and meeting deadlines. Demonstrate continuous project awareness with the ability to present statues and progress clearly

· Compliance & Risk Management: Expert knowledge of Title IV and regulatory requirements; Advanced understanding of institutional compliance requirements. Ability to develop policies and interpret regulatory topics at the institutional level. Budget management and fiscal responsibility awareness

· Technology-Enabled Leadership: Champions automation and data analytics; partners with IT to enable secure, scalable platforms. Knowledge of institutional research and data analysis. Proficiency in at least two SIS/FAM platform

· People & Change Leadership: Navigates through peak stress; assists with and executes strategies for effective change management to meet the goals of the client"

· Client & Stakeholder Alignment: Executes tasks and deliverables that meet client goals; maintains trust under pressure.

· Strategic Partner Mindset: Aligns operations with business growth strategy; provides executive insights on capacity, compliance, and cost trends.


Key Responsibilities

· Advising college/university leadership on matters related to administering student financial aid

· Maintaining the office’s service orientation (from front line to back office) and high level of student satisfaction

· Assisting counselors and other staff with the more complex financial aid issues

· Identifying processes which could be streamlined or ensuring there are QC processes and cross checks for human errors

· Negotiation/relationship building - strengthening relationships between financial aid and other campus offices

· Working with the business office staff to ensure federal program accounts are reconciled monthly

· Ensuring critical deadlines such as SAP monitoring or appeals, the timely Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4), reporting to external agencies such as NCAA or a state aid program administrator

· Responding to reporting requests for financial aid data

· Understanding of FISAP reporting and other federal requirements
