BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Under the general supervision of the Chief TECI and the direct supervision of the Head of Cybersecurity Operations, the incumbent will assist the team with day-to-day cyber security operational support, documentation, and administration. The incumbent shall provide support to the TECI’s corresponding teams in carrying out activities related to monitoring for and investigating potential cyber incidents within the WFP infrastructure.  The incumbent shall also be engaged in various additional aspects of the cyber-security threats analytical activities on operational level.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1.    Monitor WFP environment for potential cyber incidents using available tools and telemetry, including but not limited to Microsoft security consoles, the IR platform, and Threat Intel sources.
2.    Provide Tier 2/3 investigation and analysis for potential cyber incidents as identified by WFP telemetry using available tools.
3.    Provide assistance to vulnerability management/network security activities and, as necessary, the TECI consulting practice to the business.
4.    Identify and evaluate tools and/or services needed to establish regular incident detection and response across WFP infrastructure.
5.    Research and assist to onboard new technologies that support the TECI operations functions, and in compliance with principles of TEC Architecture Board.
6.    Support tickets routed to TECI.
7.    Perform other cybersecurity related duties, as assigned.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
•    Daily monitoring for other potential threats and, in case of manual remediation, provide to local IT personnel plan of actions that need to be performed locally. 
•    Represent TECI with Change Management on RFC proposals related to Active Directory, IAM, Endpoint, and Networking activities.
•    Support analysis of suspicious emails or other suspicious activities and request appropriate remediation with TECM.
•    Assess and respond to requests for non-standard access.
•    Liaise with other team members, UNICC and IT Service Desk for troubleshooting and documenting each issue related to the above.
•    Contribute to cyber-security related projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:    University degree in computer science/engineering or an equivalent discipline

Experience:

3 or more years of incremental experience in the areas of SIEM, Incident Management and/or Security tools administration

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Microsoft security suite support, hardening, and governance
  • Solid IT Security skills, with both academic background and practical hands-on experience
  • Cybersecurity operations, incident response, and analysis
  • Security approach to Identity Management

Languages:

Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desirable.
