JOB TITLE: Software Configuration Specialist
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Regular Consultancy (CST I)

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Within the TEC Division of WFP, the CRM Competence Centre (CRM CC) is mandated to develop, build
and maintain digital solutions for Customer Relation and Case & Escalation Mgt.
Working on configuration and testing using Salesforce Platform to configure reports, objects, flows
and other functions, the Configuration Specialist will be instrumental in helping WFP deliver a GRC
system (and more in general, digital solutions) tailored to its unique environment. Working within a
small and focused team to understand user business requirements and direction of travel interpret
user requirements in the context of the overall system design and convert them into specific system
configuration designs and then implement, test and deploy. Reporting to the CC coordinator, and
working in close collaboration with the CC team and business counterpart, this recruitment will help
the organization in effectively managing CRM digital solutions for RMD and for other WFP functions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1- Business Analyst and System Configuration:
• Work in close collaboration with Stakeholders convene meetings and workshops as
appropriate to discuss and document user business requirements, within the context of
the overall system design.
• Elaborate configuration designs to fit user requirements.
• Validate proposed configurations with stakeholders.
• Build and test, objects, flows, UI pages, reports etc. in-line with the configuration design.
• Maintain documentation of affected objects and elements to enable targeted and focused
deployment.
• Work with the colleagues in the CC, to coordinate deployments.
• Prepare technical documentation related to new configurations and developments

2. Salesforce Platform Functionalities
• Progressively Explore platform functionality and document potential opportunities for
using explored functionalities.
• Stay informed of upgrades and enhancements to Salesforce functionality.
3. Second Line Support
• Provide the 2nd line technical support to the R2 solution
• Triage support tickets – establish criteria for reproduction of defects – investigate causes,
develop fixes and/or workarounds as appropriate and coordinate deployment of fixes.
4. Risk Management & Surveys Roll-out
• In collaboration with the R2 Technical lead, and in coordination with the colleagues in
the CC, the role will be the principal configurator for both modules which will be
running at times in parallel.
• The role will need to work on both streams coordinating and providing assistance and
insight in terms of integration and common user experience.

• Up-to-date documentation on user requirements
• Relevant configuration design documents
• Documentation of user validation of designs and user acceptance of implementation
• Configured functionality as per design.
• Documentation reflecting platform functionality discovery.
• Up-to-date documentation of system issues, fixes and work-arounds.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education Advanced University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering,
or First University Degree with additional years of related professional work experience and/or
training/courses.
Experience: Three to five years of postgraduate relevant experience in similar digital
implementation projects, with preferably experience in an international context.
• Knowledge of the Salesforce platform configuration
• Functional analysis
• Writing and debugging APEX code and SOQL language
• Writing and debugging code in JavaScript
• Complex systems configuration
• Reporting development skills
• Writing technical documentation
• Testing preparation and execution

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to work and deliver results within a highly complex organizational environment (i.e., with diverse team, matrix structure, highly evolving operational context and staff working hardship locations) and to plan and prioritize.
•Knowledge of risk management and/or GRC solutions, knowledge of Salesforce is preferable.
•Strong business acumen.
•Good communication skills and understanding of working with different cultures.
•WFP and/or UN system experience desirable.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese.
