Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities 

 

·        Lead assigned projects from mobilization through closeout, coordinating scope, schedules, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities.

·        Review project plans, specifications, contractual requirements, and site conditions; communicate work expectations and deliverables to the project team.

·        Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans. Monitor progress, identify delays, and coordinate corrective actions to meet milestones.

·        Direct and support Superintendents, Foremen, Site Leads, and field personnel as assigned. Establish responsibilities and monitor productivity and performance.

·        Monitor project budgets, labor hours, equipment costs, and material expenses. Report variances and recommend actions to control costs and support profitability.

·        Coordinate timely procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment within established approval limits; track shortages and equipment needs.

·        Maintain regular communication with clients, site leadership, and management regarding progress, staffing, risks, and issues affecting project completion.

·        Identify changes to project scope, document their schedule and cost impacts, and obtain required approvals before proceeding with changed work.

·        Promote and enforce company safety policies, applicable OSHA requirements, and client site rules. Coordinate safety meetings, inspections, and prompt reporting of hazards and incidents.

·        Conduct site walkthroughs to verify work quality and compliance with plans and specifications. Coordinate correction of deficiencies and completion of punch lists.

·        Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, schedules, labor tracking, material deliveries, change documentation, and closeout records.

·        Partner with HR and field leadership on staffing, onboarding, performance feedback, attendance concerns, and employee relations. Verify timely and accurate timekeeping.

·        Resolve project obstacles and escalate issues requiring management approval. Model professional conduct and enforce company policies consistently.

·        Coordinate final inspections, client acceptance, demobilization, and project handoff; complete required closeout documentation.

·        Be available to travel to assigned project locations throughout the United States and remain away from home for extended periods. Follow company travel policies, maintain required travel documentation, and be responsible for personal or noncovered travel expenses as outlined in those policies.

·        Work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and overtime based on project needs. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications

 

·        High school diploma or equivalent.

·        At least 3 to 5 years of construction project experience, including experience supervising crews or coordinating project execution.

·        Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project schedules.

·        Experience managing project priorities, labor resources, budgets, and documentation.

·        OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain certification within two months of hire.

·        Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients and personnel at all levels.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams; ability to learn company project management and timekeeping systems.

·        Ability to meet the travel, scheduling, and essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

·        Experience with commercial construction, warehouse or distribution facility projects, or installation work in active facilities.

·        Experience coordinating subcontractors, multiple trades, and projects with demanding schedules.

·        Degree or coursework in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

·        Experience with change orders, cost forecasting, client reporting, and project closeout.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

 

·        Work occurs in office settings and active construction, warehouse, or industrial environments; frequent walking and standing during site inspections may be required.

·        May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, and access work areas using stairs or ladders as project conditions require.

·        Occasional lifting, pushing, or carrying of materials or equipment up to 50 pounds may be required, using assistance or appropriate equipment as needed.

·        May work near moving equipment and be exposed to noise, dust, and extreme temperatures. Required personal protective equipment must be worn.

·        Equipment operation, when assigned, requires appropriate training, certification, and authorization. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
