Construction Estimator - Work From Home / Dayshift

We are seeking a Construction Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for concrete formwork and structural construction projects. The role will review drawings and specifications, assess project quantities and costs, support tenders and variations, and maintain accurate estimating and project documentation while working closely with Estimators, Contract Administrators, and Project Managers.

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for concrete formwork and structural construction projects.
• Review GA/structural drawings, specifications, revisions, and project documentation to determine scope and pricing requirements.
• Measure and quantify slabs, columns, walls, beams, formwork areas, concrete volumes, and related construction elements.
• Support tender submissions, estimate reviews, pricing updates, variations, and cost reconciliations.
• Identify scope changes, discrepancies, omissions, risks, and commercial impacts during estimating and project reviews.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, drawing revisions, quantity records, estimating databases, and document control systems.
• Collaborate with Estimators, Contract Administrators, Project Managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver accurate and timely estimating information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Proven experience in estimating, quantity take-offs, quantity surveying, or commercial support within construction.
• Essential: Experience with concrete formwork, structural concrete, reinforced concrete, or structural construction projects.
• Strong ability to interpret General Arrangement (GA) drawings, structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation and prepare accurate take-offs, BOQs, and estimates.
• Practical knowledge of formwork systems, concrete structures, construction methodologies, sequencing, and labour productivity factors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam or similar estimating/take-off software, with strong attention to detail and document control skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in variations, contract administration, or project delivery highly advantageous; Australian construction experience is preferred.
