What You'll Do



Join our Benefits & Protection Compliance team as a Compliance Analyst supporting regulatory excellence in the life and disability insurance space! You'll partner with business leaders to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and help enhance our compliance testing programs.

  • Assist business partners and compliance leadership with legal, regulatory, and operational issues.
  • Assist with targeted testing across both life and disability insurance products.
  • Prepare and submit timely regulatory reports and filings to relevant authorities as required.
  • Respond to requests for information relating to regulatory examinations, surveys, and inquiries.
  • Analyze compliance data and provide insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop practical, risk-aware solutions.
  • Review and strengthen compliance controls and business processes.
  • Evaluate insurance operations, including SEC Rule 38a-1 assessments.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to the compliance program.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with internal teams and regulators under tight deadlines.

Who You Are



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; 4+ years of compliance experience within a financial services organization (life and disability insurance preferred), including:
  • 2+ years working with insurance regulators.
  • 2+ years in compliance testing, auditing or risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of life and disability insurance regulations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including regulatory correspondence.
  • Proactive mindset with a drive to improve processes.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization.
  • Travel, including overnight stays, may be required periodically.
  • FINRA licensing may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with compliance risk testing programs.
  • Strong track record of navigating regulatory environments within the insurance or financial services sectors.
  • Ability to design and implement effective compliance initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Skilled at balancing regulatory precision with practical, business-friendly solutions.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Passion for driving continuous improvement in compliance standards and controls.

 


Salary Range Information



Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$69300 - $126000 / year

  • Dubuque, IA / Wichita, KS / Grand Island, NE: $69,300 – $81,900
  • Des Moines, IA / Louisville, KY / Green Bay, WI: $73,150 – $86,450
  • St. Louis, MO / Pittsburgh, PA / Charlotte, NC: $77,000 – $91,000
  • Denver, CO / Houston, TX / Chicago, IL / Minneapolis, MN: $84,700 – $100,100 
  • Seattle, WA / Los Angeles, CA / New York City, NY: $92,400 – $109,200
