The Compensation Specialist serves as a key analytical and consultative partner to the Compensation team, supporting the administration and delivery of compensation programs across the organization. This role contributes to ensuring compensation practices are market competitive, internally equitable, and aligned with organizational guidelines.
The Compensation Specialist partners closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to support offer development, market pricing, and internal equity reviews. This position is responsible for conducting foundational to moderately complex analyses and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations.
The role also supports annual compensation processes through data validation, auditing, and reporting, helping to ensure accurate and consistent program execution. The Specialist contributes to continuous improvement of compensation processes, tools, and documentation.
Education
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
Certification/Licensure
Preferred:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in compensation analysis, including market pricing, pay range administration, and internal equity reviews
Experience supporting Talent Acquisition with offer analysis and compensation recommendations
Experience interpreting and applying compensation guidelines to employee and manager inquiries
Experience preparing data-driven insights and recommendations for HR and business partners
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis
Experience working with HRIS and compensation planning tools (Workday & MarketPay preferred)
