The Community Outreach Associate conducts outreach, engagement, and education sessions to cultivate referrals from healthcare and community providers. They are responsible for building partnerships, tracking engagement data, and supporting the organization's health equity and advocacy goals.
About Us:
God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided at no cost to our clients.
About the Role:
God’s Love We Deliver has partnered within the healthcare field since our inception. The Business Development and Community Partnerships Department establishes partnerships and contracts with organizations that include managed care providers, hospitals, health systems, and community-based organizations.
The Community Outreach Associate is responsible for conducting outreach, engagement, and education sessions to cultivate consistent referrals from a range of healthcare and community providers. The role supports the team’s efforts to increase awareness of God’s Love, expand the number of clients served through existing and new partnerships, and grow the organization’s network of healthcare and community partners. The Community Outreach Associate will use research and data to engage partners, build and strengthen relationships, conduct outreach to prospective and current partners, and generate client referrals that support annual goals for clients served and revenue.
This is a remote position that requires travel and flexibility throughout the New York Capitol Region. Your office will also include community and healthcare spaces. You must be a New York Capitol Region resident. Home visits are a possibility. Your leadership and team will be in New York City. Must be a self-starter and comfortable reporting daily.
