As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team.

 

About the Role

Reporting to the O&M Manager, the Commissioning Manager will be responsible for leading and managing multi-disciplinary commissioning teams to successfully deliver testing, commissioning, and project handover activities across a diverse portfolio of energy and industrial projects.

This role offers flexibility to be based in any major Australian city, with Adelaide being the preferred location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans, schedules, and procedures.
  • Lead day-to-day testing and commissioning activities across multiple disciplines.
  • Plan, resource, and coordinate commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, OEMs, contractors, and clients to facilitate seamless testing and handover activities.
  • Drive project progress through daily coordination meetings, issue resolution, and proactive risk management.
  • Collaborate with project controls teams to achieve critical project milestones and delivery objectives.
  • Foster a strong "One Team" culture across all stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering or a recognised industry equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in testing and commissioning within the energy, utilities, industrial, power generation, or related sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical and commissioning teams.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning methodologies, project delivery, and operational handover processes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
