Essential Functions:

  • Proactively manage and execute all Summit 7 customer collections efforts
  • Work with customers to resolve questions and provide information upon request
  • Track all collections statuses & provide reporting to management on a regular & recurring basis
  • Reduce / minimize proportion of overall receivables that are past due
  • Reduce DSO

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively work collections via regular statement distribution and customer inquiries
  • Customer account reconciliations
  • Assist with accounting corrections re: customer payment applications
  • Facilitate and ensure adequate closure of customer account issues
  • Lead recurring collections calls with management
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Job Specifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of dedicated B2B collections experience-this role requires someone who has worked specifically in collections, not a general accountant or AR clerk
  • Proven track record managing collections as the primary function: handling aging reports, conducting consistent outreach, negotiating payment plans, resolving disputes, and reducing DSO
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment, staying organized, self-directed, and responsive while managing a large portfolio of customer accounts
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills to handle challenging conversations professionally while protecting customer relationships
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position will often move about inside the office to escort visitors, deliver packages to addressee, etc. Occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
