About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer at Network Coverage, understanding both the engineering and architecture of the systems and the building of the systems. You understand the level of detail required to ensure systems are in place to provide consistent uptime and support for our clients escalated and most business impacting issues. Your primary duties will include triaging, review, response, design, implementation and maintenance of Microsoft cloud infrastructure solution and client environments. This includes O365, Intune, Azure AD, etc. During any given week you will be ensuring the stability of infrastructure of our clients through triaging and problem solving, building, engineering, and creating infrastructure; either from the ground up or to fit within the parameters of what a client already has. What sets aside a Senior Infrastructure Engineer is that of scope, responsibility, and knowledge. We expect those in this role to understand the end goal of a project prior to beginning. We also expect this role to identify patterns and commonalities across networks and alerts.


Accountabilities

Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment

  • Build, configure, and deploy secure and scalable cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (with exposure to AWS as a plus).
  • Lead migrations and implementations from on-premises to cloud environments, ensuring seamless adoption of Azure services.
  • Execute code builds, automate deployments, testing, and monitoring.
  • Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Leverage Terraform, Python, and other automation tools to provision, manage, and optimize infrastructure

Security & Resiliency

  • Implement infrastructure solutions that increase the stability, resiliency, and security of client and internal cloud environments.
  • Harden device and network configurations following industry best practices, minimizing disruption while enhancing security posture.

Project Delivery

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, charters, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope, and with clear documentation of outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Provide expert technical assistance for internal teams and clients, including configuration, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and upgrade Azure environments, supporting both implementation and migration projects.

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Deliver an exemplary customer service experience, building strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, approachable manner.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Document technical processes, configurations, root cause analyses, and project details for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to knowledge bases and internal training resources to strengthen team expertise.

Continuous Learning & Growth

  • Stay current with evolving cloud technologies, security practices, and industry trends.
  • Pursue professional certifications and development opportunities, while mentoring and sharing knowledge with peers.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Technology, IT Engineering or equivalent level of work experience and certifications
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 6+ year of Microsoft or AWS experience
  • 8+ years of project design and implementation
  • Experience with 2-3 technology products or services at a subject matter expert level. Technologies can include: O365 Suite (Azure, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.), AWS, Python, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Github, Gitlab, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • The ability correlate information and data between clients and alerts.
  • Must be highly Organized: Projects are multi-step processes involving time scales from a few days to a few months. Juggling all the tasks requires high levels of organization and a strict adherence to process
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical clients and internal team members
