The role ensures accurate, secure, and scalable data exchange for business-critical processes, supports migration and modernization from AX to D365 F&O where applicable, and enables end-to-end digital transformation through well-architected Azure integration solutions.
Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Key activities:
Design, develop, and support Cloud EDI integrations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Microsoft Dynamics AX using Azure Integration Services, middleware, APIs, event-driven architectures, and batch interfaces.
Implement and maintain integrations between D365 F&O, AX, ERP-adjacent systems, SaaS platforms, data platforms, and external trading partners.
Develop and support EDI transaction flows such as orders, invoices, shipment notices, acknowledgements, and related logistics or financial documents using X12, EDIFACT, and customer-specific formats.
Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration processes across Azure, EDI providers, D365 F&O, and AX environments.
Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, application owners, infrastructure teams, and external trading partners to translate business requirements into sustainable integration designs.
Ensure integrations comply with security, data protection, auditability, and enterprise architecture standards.
Create and maintain interface specifications, mapping documentation, technical designs, runbooks, and support procedures.
Support unit, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for EDI and D365 F&O / AX integrations.
Contribute to integration modernization, AX-to-D365 transition activities, and continuous improvement of Cloud EDI architecture and best practices.
Authority:
Define and propose Cloud EDI and D365 F&O / AX integration architectures within governed standards.
Approve integration design choices, mapping approaches, and support patterns in collaboration with architecture, application, and business teams.
Recommend changes that improve EDI reliability, ERP process continuity, monitoring, and operational risk reduction.
Request access, tools, environments, partner documentation, and test data necessary to perform Cloud EDI, D365 F&O, and AX integration activities.
Responsibility:
Reliable execution and support of assigned Cloud EDI, D365 F&O, AX, and related data flows.
Maintaining secure, compliant, monitored, and audit-ready integration designs across cloud and legacy ERP landscapes.
Ensuring data consistency, completeness, traceability, and recoverability across trading partner, EDI, ERP, and connected systems.
Documenting mappings, error handling, business rules, dependencies, support procedures, and operational ownership.
Following ICT governance, change control, lifecycle management, and release management processes for D365 F&O, AX, and integration platforms.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with EDI, ERP integration, transformation programs, or large-scale system integration.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and/or Microsoft Dynamics AX integration, data entities, business processes, and support models.
Experience with Microsoft Azure integration capabilities and cloud-based integration patterns.
Experience working with EDI providers, trading partners, ERP vendors, and/or external implementation partners.
