AI Summary

You will serve as the primary point of contact for patient care, managing clinical triage and coordinating care across pharmacies and providers. Additionally, you will be responsible for digging into medical records and maintaining clear, closed-loop communication regarding patient medication needs.
About ZorroRX
ZorroRX is a pharmacy marketplace that negotiates discounts directly with non-profit hospitals, independent pharmacies, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, then passes the savings to self-insured employers, PBMs, and health plans.

About the Role
You’ll bring sharp judgment and the ability to pick things up quickly to the fast paced, ever-changing environment of a startup to ensure that the clinical team is able to serve a diverse population of patients. This role is ideal for a person 0-4 years out of school who thrives in the chaos of medicine and can juggle multiple things at once.

Clinical training is welcome but not required. What matters more is that you are smart, meticulous, and genuinely drawn to clinical work, because we would rather teach someone hungry vs. hiring around a credential.

This Role comes with significant growth and leadership opportunity: High performers here will be on track to take over many aspects of the clinical operations function, including hiring and building out their own team, within 6 months.

What You Will Actually Do
From triaging clinical urgency, to coordinating care across a chain, you will be the touch point for nearly every aspect of patient care. You must be comfortable digging into records, expanding your knowledge of pharmacology and disease states, and communicating via phone/fax/email with providers and pharmacies. You should be able to anticipate issues, and must value clear, close-looped communication. Your role will be part pharmacy technician, part clinical liaison, and part creative-thinker.

We’re growing very, very fast. You'll do work that matters on day one, because a patient getting their medication is not an abstraction. You'll see the whole board, not one corner of it; and you'll be trusted to fix real things, which is the fastest way to learn new skills.

Who You Are
•  A fast learner who absorbs unfamiliar material, technical and otherwise, and retains it
•  Detail oriented and meticulous in all you do

Nice to Have (Not Required)
•  Current nurse, pharmacy technician, or pharmacy/medical/PA student with a strong clinical medicine background
•  Comfortable documenting within an EHR and/or pharmacy management system
•  Experience communicating within a care team
•  Experience with medical liaison, insurance verification, and prior authorization systems

Key Traits
•  Detail-oriented
•  Self-motivated
•  Clear communicator
•  Coachable and open to constructive criticism
•  Creative, inventive, and able to anticipate issues
•  MUST have a desire to continually learn and broaden your medical knowledge, not afraid to say “I am not sure, but let me look into that and get back to you”
