NeoGenomics is looking for a Clinical Literature Curator who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is a remote position with a Monday – Friday shift.

Position Summary: 

As a Clinical Literature Curator you will support NeoGenomics' scientific and medical intelligence programs by identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing scientific literature, clinical trial data, and other publicly available information related to oncology biomarkers and therapies. This role transforms complex scientific evidence into clear, actionable insights that support medical and scientific decision-making, helping the organization maintain current, evidence-based knowledge of oncology biomarkers and their clinical utility.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing literature reviews to identify new research, cancer therapies, clinical trials, emerging procedures, and competitive intelligence relevant to oncology biomarkers
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of databases and information systems used to curate and manage scientific and medical intelligence data
  • Review, interpret, evaluate, synthesize, and summarize scientific literature and other publicly available sources, including PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, FDA publications, and related scientific resources, into accurate, clear, and concise clinical insights in accordance with SOPs
  • Prepare written summaries, reports, and scientific content that support the assessment of the clinical impact, utility, and actionability of oncology biomarkers
  • Present evidence-based findings and recommendations to medical and scientific stakeholders, facilitating alignment on clinical relevance, impact, and actionability
     
    Education, Experience & Qualifications:
  • PhD in molecular biology, structural biology, biophysics, protein science, biochemistry, or related discipline required
  • At least one (1) year of directly relevant experience in molecular biology, oncology literature research, clinical trials, therapeutics, and/or biomarkers preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management, preparation of summary statements, and competitive intelligence deliverables
  • An understanding of the hallmarks of cancer, targeted therapies and their molecular function, and oncology clinical trials
  • Ability to read, understand, critically evaluate scientific publications, and synthesize information to clearly communicate findings to medical and scientific audiences
  • General computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and master computer programs, databases, and scientific applications
  • An understanding of the value of supporting statements with appropriate citations and the format and resources for doing so (Google Scholar, Endnote, etc.)
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
