Windward is seeking a cleared, highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow ITSM Technical Consultant responsible for designing, configuring, and developing IT Service Management solutions that meet business and technical requirements. The ITSM Technical Consultant helps improve how IT teams manage incidents, requests, and changes by building and configuring solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role leads implementation efforts, including configuration, integrations, and platform optimization. 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Provide subject matter expertise and trusted advice on ServiceNow ITSM functionality, ensuring alignment with platform best practices. 

  • Design, configure, and implement core ITSM capabilities including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge.  
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow solutions, including workflows, forms, UI policies, business rules, and Flow Designer, to support end-to-end service delivery. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and improve ITSM processes while guiding solution design, architecture, and implementation through technical discussions and workshops. 
  • Support end-to-end delivery including sprint planning, testing, deployments, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.  
  • Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and IntegrationHub to enable seamless data exchange. 
  • Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices, including maintainability, scalability, and upgrade readiness. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve ITSM processes and automate manual tasks to increase efficiency. 
Required Qualifications 
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance. 
  • Alignment with DoD 8570/8140 baseline requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent). 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • 2+ years of ServiceNow development or technical consulting experience. 
  • Proven experience delivering at least one full-cycle ServiceNow ITSM implementation. 
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, HTML/CSS, and ServiceNow platform architecture. 
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations and API-based data exchange. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing effectively to a team-based environment. 
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies 
Required Certifications 
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator 
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management 

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience documenting business requirements, process flows, and user stories. 
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) 
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications in areas such as CSM or SPM
