Job Description

The Chief Product Officer (CPO) leads our product strategy and vision across IDIQ's portfolio of subscription-based consumer products, including identity theft protection, credit monitoring, credit reporting, and pre-paid legal plans. The CPO will be responsible for driving innovation, setting product direction, and ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value to both individual consumers and enterprise partners. This role carries accountability for product-driven revenue growth, customer retention, and operational efficiency across the IDIQ brand portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities by Area:

Product Vision & Strategy

• Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with IDIQ's mission to empower financial wellness
• Develop and execute a product roadmap with clear near-term milestones, balancing growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the IDIQ brand portfolio
• Set product priorities and deliver quarterly objectives aligned with company strategic goals
• Own pricing and packaging strategy across the subscription portfolio, including tier design, offer and paywall testing, discounting discipline, and price realization

Product Leadership & Execution

• Lead a dispersed product team of group product managers, product owners, and designers, setting product direction and outcomes while partnering with a CTO who owns the engineering build
• Own end-to-end product development from ideation through launch, and own the post-launch subscription lifecycle including activation, onboarding, adoption, and retention
• Drive a data-informed culture where product decisions are backed by user research, analytics, and experimentation
• Establish the product operating cadence and reporting standard – roadmap, governance, quarterly business reviews, and product performance reporting to the executive team and Board

Customer & Partner Focus

• Maintain deep customer understanding through research, feedback, and direct engagement across B2C and B2B channels, with a focus on subscriber retention, lifetime value, and churn reduction
• Work closely with sales, partnerships, and customer success teams to ensure products serve both business partner and end-consumer needs across a partner-distributed model where the majority of members arrive through partner channels
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including executives, board members, and strategic partners

Innovation & Competitive Positioning

• Stay ahead of industry trends in fintech, identity protection, credit intelligence, and financial wellness
• Serve as a credible product voice in an AI transformation already underway, identifying opportunities to bring AI from internal adoption into customer-facing product value
• Drive differentiation through innovative features, user experience, and business model evolution
• Continuously assess the brand and product portfolio for rationalization, consolidation, or expansion, making disciplined build, partner, or sunset decisions to concentrate investment behind the highest-return products

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Tech, Marketing, and Sales to ensure product excellence and market success
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to ensure products comply with FCRA, consumer protection laws, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Support go-to-market strategy and ensure smooth product launches across multiple channels and brand offerings

Additional Responsibilities

• Able to handle and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive consumer information in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection regulations
• Must follow all company policies and procedures regarding data privacy and protection and data loss prevention
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
• Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (MBA preferred), or equivalent professional experience
• 12+ years of progressive product leadership experience, including 5+ years in a Product leadership role
• Proven track record leading and optimizing high-performing product teams across multiple product lines or brands
• Deep experience in fintech, financial services, or adjacent regulated industries (security, identity management, SaaS)
• Strong expertise in B2C product development with demonstrated ability to understand and serve consumers
• Proven experience building products in a B2B2C or partner-distributed model, serving both business partners and their end consumers simultaneously
• Excellence in data-driven decision making with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Demonstrated ability to innovate within legacy platform constraints and resource-constrained environments, comfortable with simplification and subtraction as much as net-new capability
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence without authority
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, data security, and privacy requirements applicable to consumer credit and identity data, with the ability to build product within regulatory constraints that will not move
• Experience leading product strategy and innovation in competitive, fast-moving markets, preferably within a private equity-backed or high-growth environment
• Track record of portfolio rationalization and product lifecycle optimization across multiple product lines or brands
• Experience leading through multiple product/market cycles or at a company making transition from growth to scale
• Background in AI with evidence of shipping customer-facing AI, a credible personal AI working practice, and an understanding of the data-foundation requirements that enable AI development

Preferred:

• Plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities.
• Experience with subscription-based business models, including expertise in optimizing acquisition funnels, retention strategies, and unit economics.
• Proven ability to prepare product organizations for operational scale and efficiency, including experience optimizing team structures and delivery processes for measurable business outcomes.
• Unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and driving results for yourself and your team members and stakeholders.
• Operates with a high degree of independence, identifying and pursuing priorities without being prompted while actively contributing innovative solutions and ideas that push the company forward.

Additional Information

Position Details: This is a full-time, salaried position (40+ hours/week). 

Location: Remote, with travel to Temecula, CA, as needed.

Pay: The pay range for this position is a minimum of $285,000 to a maximum of $325,000 annually. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual compensation offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
