Chief Architect – Data & AI First 

Location: [Plano, TX / Remote] 

About the Role 

We are seeking a visionary Chief Architect to lead our enterprise-wide technology strategy with a strong Data and AI-first mindset. This is a highly strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the future of our platforms, products, and technology ecosystem. 

You will define and drive the architecture that enables data-driven decision making, AI-powered innovation, and scalable digital platforms. Working closely with executive leadership, engineering, and product teams, you will ensure our technology foundation supports long-term growth, innovation, and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities 

Enterprise Architecture Leadership 

• Define and drive the overall enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap 

• Establish standards for cloud-native, API-first, and scalable system design 

• Ensure alignment between business goals, product strategy, and technology execution 

• Lead architecture governance and decision-making across the organization 

Data & AI Strategy 

• Design and evolve a modern data platform to support analytics, machine learning, and AI 

• Lead the development of AI-enabled systems, including predictive analytics and intelligent automation 

• Promote a data-driven culture, ensuring data is accessible, trusted, and effectively used across the business 

• Partner with teams to embed AI capabilities across products and operations 

Technology Transformation 

• Lead modernization initiatives such as cloud native platform evolution, microservices adoption, and platform engineering 

• Drive innovation through adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics 

• Enable faster delivery and improved quality through modern engineering practices 

Governance, Security & Compliance 

• Establish frameworks for responsible AI use, data governance, and architecture standards 

• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, and regulatory requirements 

• Balance innovation with risk management and operational stability 

Leadership & Collaboration 

• Build and mentor a high-performing architecture organization 

• Collaborate with executives, product leaders, and engineering teams to influence strategic decisions 

• Serve as a trusted advisor on technology trends, risks, and opportunities 

• Partner with external vendors and technology providers as needed 

Qualifications 

Required Experience 

• 15+ years of experience in technology, including significant experience in enterprise architecture or senior technical leadership roles 

• Proven success designing and delivering large-scale, cloud-based systems and platforms 

• Experience with data architecture, analytics, or AI/ML solutions 

• Strong understanding of modern software architecture patterns (microservices, APIs, distributed systems) 

• Track record of leading technology transformation initiatives 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) 

• Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, or data compliance frameworks 

• Experience building or scaling data platforms (e.g., lakehouse, data warehouse, streaming architectures) 

• Background in digital product or platform-based organizations
