Join Valley View's HIM team as a Charge Audit Specialist!
This position will optimize and support charge capture across the organization and will partner with clinical departments to ensure billable services are accurately captured to optimize revenue stream.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Supports charging accuracy among clinical departments.
- The Charge Audit Specialist role promotes the accuracy of charging practices across the organization.
- Serves as a liaison between clinical areas and revenue cycle teams to translate billing needs in order to effectively collaborate with practice operations in improving charge capture for their service lines.
- Is a resource for providers, clinical team members, and leaders charging workflows, charge code questions, and compliant charging.
- Performs ongoing clinical service line reviews of medical records and associated billing to identify potential charging inaccuracies.
- Develops action plans for corrections, quantifies revenue impact, and partners with clinical areas until resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Preferred: Health Information, Coding, Billing, Revenue cycle or a closely related healthcare.
Experience:
- Preferred: Minimum two years of related work experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, including charging, claims billing, coding, revenue integrity, documentation improvement, clinical practice, or medical auditing required.
- Required: Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS charging guidelines and principles.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of code data sets to include CPT, HCPCS and ICD 10.
- Advanced knowledge of charging guidelines and principles.
- Advanced knowledge of NCCI edits and Medicare LCD/NCDs.
- Ability to review, analyze and interpret managed care contracts, billing guidelines and state and federal regulations.
- Required: Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and groups.

SALARY RANGE
- $29.05 to $42.73/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill-set, and experience
