What We Can Achieve Together:

The Global Tackle Climate Change team is recruiting a Spatial & Data Analyst to work on the Clean Energy Transition (CET) team - an interdisciplinary team focused on accelerating the renewable energy transition to support climate, conservation, and community goals. The analyst will play a key role in advancing the science and analytical foundation of TNC’s clean energy transition strategies.

Working closely with the Social Ecological Scientist, the analyst will contribute to data synthesis, impact quantification, and rapid research and communications, while coordinating with regional teams in Europe, India, and North America. The analyst will help assemble and refine datasets, indicators, and analytical inputs, and will turn these into timely, accessible products that inform siting decisions, strengthen community and biodiversity outcomes, and support TNC’s global climate and conservation goals. They will also assist with emerging science directions, including dual land use/agrivoltaics, onshore/offshore wind, stakeholder engagement, Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLC) inclusive approaches, and impact evaluation and monitoring. The analyst will help ensure that TNC’s renewable energy strategies are grounded in rigorous science, accessible insights, and timely analysis that supports decision making across the organization.

This role will require working across cultures and time zones, with regular availability during Eastern Standard Time working hours. The location for this position is flexible within countries where The Nature Conservancy has an established office. Salary is based on the physical working location. This position is not eligible for relocation, immigration assistance or sponsorship.

We’re Looking for You:

  • Demonstrate ability to use AI assisted tools to support rapid research synthesis, internal briefings, and communication materials.

  • Prepare clear, timely written and visual materials, including internal briefings, slide decks, reports, and publication inputs, that translate technical analyses into actionable insights for decision makers and the CET team.

  • Support and coordinate with regional teams to track emerging science questions and maintain documentation.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Master’s degree in environmental science, geography, ecology, sustainability science, data science, or a related field, and 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
