The Category Specialist supports sourcing strategies and conducts business spend analysis to provide actionable insights for procurement leadership. They also assist in managing supplier relationships, preparing sourcing documents like RFPs, and researching industry trends to drive productivity.

As a Category Specialist you will support sourcing strategies and their implementation for defined categories, ensuring agreement on our goals. You will report to the Senior Category Manager and work remote. 100% Remote Position.
Partner with the Category Manager, and peer Category Specialists to gather requirements and help develop global category strategies.
Conduct business and spend analysis using Power BI and other analytical tools; provide insights into historical spend drivers and assess potential impacts on future spend projections.
Report performance against metrics such as payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity, inflation, price variance, commodity fluctuations, and other critical procurement KPIs for Procurement Leadership.
Support Category Managers by developing program presentations including supplier relationship management, transformation progress, QBRs, Deep Dives, weekly High/Low lights reviews, and preferred supplier analysis.
Assist Category Managers with sourcing activities, including preparing RFI, RFP, and RFQs, evaluating results, documenting recommendations, and communicating with company partners and suppliers.
Research and communicate industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and increased productivity
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of procurement or category management experience
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
