The Catalyst Technical Lead is a senior implementation expert responsible for defining, governing, and enabling the technical implementation approach for XTEL platform programs. This role ensures that technical delivery follows XTEL standards, reusable integration and data patterns, architectural best practices, and the unified template-based implementation model.

The Catalyst Technical Lead works across customer projects, internal enablement, and partner-led programs to increase technical consistency, reduce implementation effort, improve solution maintainability, and accelerate deployment outcomes. The role also contributes to technical methodology, packaged reusables, enablement programs, delivery assurance, and implementation scoping and estimation.

Key Objectives

The Catalyst Technical Lead is accountable for helping XTEL achieve the following objectives:

  1. Support the scoping, planning, estimation, and contracting of customer implementation services for XTEL platform programs

  2. Ensure technical best practices, reference architectures, implementation patterns, and reusable assets are applied consistently across implementations

  3. Drive adoption of the standardized unified core template-based model to support low TCO, high maintainability, and rapid TTM

  4. Produce, maintain, and evolve technical implementation methodology and training programs

  5. Coach partner resources and delivery teams in a technical delivery assurance capacity

Key Responsibilities

Scoping, Estimation, and Commercial Support

  • Support pre-sales and services teams in shaping implementation scope and technical delivery assumptions

  • Contribute to effort estimates for technical workstreams including data migration, integrations, interfaces, technical configuration, and environment-related activities

  • Help define phased delivery plans, technical work packages, dependencies, and staffing assumptions

  • Provide technical input into statements of work, project plans, and implementation contracting discussions

Technical Architecture and Standards

  • Define and govern the target technical implementation architecture for XTEL platform deployments

  • Ensure alignment with XTEL standards for integrations, data flows, environments, interfaces, extensibility, security, and deployment approaches

  • Promote use of reusable technical patterns, packaged components, reference integrations, and implementation accelerators

  • Review technical designs and challenge unnecessary complexity, over-engineering, or non-standard solutions

  • Guide project teams toward architecture decisions that optimize scalability, supportability, performance, and upgradeability

Standardized Template-Based Delivery

  • Champion the technical application of XTEL’s standardized unified template-based implementation model

  • Ensure customer technical solutions are delivered with a standard-first approach wherever feasible

  • Reduce bespoke development by encouraging use of approved patterns, parameterization, templates, and reusable building blocks

  • Feed implementation lessons back into the continuous improvement of standard technical assets and reference models

Methodology, Reusables, and Technical Enablement

  • Create and maintain technical implementation playbooks, architecture guidelines, integration patterns, environment setup standards, technical checklists, and training content

  • Convert delivery experience into reusable technical assets and documented best practices

  • Support internal team enablement through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical training

  • Contribute to the maturation of a repeatable and scalable technical implementation model across XTEL and its partners

Delivery Assurance and Partner Coaching

  • Provide technical oversight and assurance on strategic, complex, or partner-led implementation projects

  • Review technical solution designs, data, integration approaches, environment strategies, and implemented code for quality and compliance with XTEL standards

  • Coach partner architects, technical consultants, and project teams on implementation quality, issue prevention, and architecture decision-making

  • Identify technical delivery risks early and define mitigation or remediation plans

Success Measures

Success in this role may be measured through:

  • On time and on budget project deliveries + Customer satisfaction

  • Accuracy and robustness of technical scope and estimation inputs

  • Speed of services proposals delivery

  • Better estimation accuracy and technical planning robustness
