PlanIT is seeking a Carrier Integration Specialist – Employee Benefits to join our growing team.

This role serves as a critical link between the Brown & Brown analytics team and our insurance carrier partners, with a strong focus on Employee Benefits data. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, data-heavy environment and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight.

You will be responsible for managing carrier relationships and ensuring the accurate, timely flow of health plan enrollment, medical claims, pharmacy claims, and related data into the Brown & Brown HPI analytics environment. This includes ownership of inbound data feeds, claims extracts, and ongoing data maintenance.

How You Will Contribute

Carrier & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for EB carrier partners. Build and maintain strong relationships while proactively managing follow-ups related to missing files, data discrepancies, or changes in file formats.

Data Feed Ownership & Maintenance:
Manage the full lifecycle of inbound data feeds, including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. Ensure consistent delivery of enrollment and claims data across multiple carriers.

Claims & Data Processing:
Handle high volumes of incoming claims data and extracts. Monitor data pipelines to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy across all feeds.

Data Validation & Quality Assurance:
Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation across carrier files and internal systems. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or errors and collaborate with partners to resolve issues quickly.

Process & Workflow Management:
Act as the internal driver for carrier integrations, keeping projects on track from initial outreach through implementation and steady-state operations.

Cross-Functional Coordination:
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to review data layouts, maintain documentation, and support agreements (e.g., HIPAA, data use agreements). Assist with minor enhancements to existing data feeds.

Issue Resolution:
Quickly identify disruptions or delays in data flows and take ownership of resolution, minimizing operational impact.

Skills and Experience for Success

  • 3+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare data, or a related field
  • Strong experience working with carrier partners and claims data (medical/pharmacy)
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable handling high-volume, data-heavy workflows and time-sensitive tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel (data tracking, reconciliation, reporting)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage external relationships effectively
  • Experience managing data feeds or working with structured data layouts preferred
  • Basic technical aptitude (understanding of data files/feeds), but this is not a technical or engineering role

Pay Range

$80,000 - $90,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
