Modern Networks is seeking a Carrier Business Development Manager to grow and strengthen strategic relationships with AT&T, FirstNet, Verizon, and key carrier stakeholders.

This role is responsible for driving partner engagement, generating carrier-sourced opportunities, and increasing Modern Networks' visibility within carrier sales organizations. The successful candidate will work closely with carrier teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, support joint sales efforts, and expand strategic partnerships.

This is a relationship-focused business development role ideal for someone with experience in telecommunications, wireless connectivity, mobility, channel sales, partner management, or alliance development.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with AT&T, FirstNet, and Verizon teams.
  • Generate and advance carrier-sourced business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with carrier sellers and Modern Networks sales teams on joint customer engagements.
  • Conduct partner trainings, presentations, and enablement activities.
  • Identify opportunities for co-selling, partner programs, marketing initiatives, and business development growth.
  • Represent Modern Networks at partner meetings, customer events, industry conferences, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Provide market intelligence and partner insights to support growth initiatives.
  • Maintain partner activity, opportunity tracking, and pipeline visibility within CRM systems.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, channel sales, partner management, alliance management, telecommunications, or related roles.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using CRM platforms to manage opportunities and partner activities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with AT&T, FirstNet, or Verizon.
  • Existing relationships within AT&T Business, FirstNet, or Verizon Business organizations.
  • Experience supporting public safety, critical infrastructure, utilities, transportation, enterprise, or government customers.
  • Experience working for a VAR, systems integrator, manufacturer, telecommunications provider, or channel-focused technology organization.
  • Familiarity with wireless networking, mobility, IoT, managed services, and connectivity solutions.

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 25%–50% travel.
  • Participation in customer meetings, carrier partner engagements, conferences, industry events, training sessions, and business development initiatives throughout the United States.
