Business Principal Analyst

What You Can Expect

The Business Principal Analyst provides strategic analytics leadership and advanced technical expertise to support the Commercial organization. This role serves as a senior analytics partner to business leaders, translating complex business needs into sustainable, scalable, and actionable analytical solutions.

The position requires a deep technical background in Snowflake and Power BI, combined with strong business acumen and the ability to connect data, analytics, and business strategy. The Principal Analyst will lead complex analytics initiatives, establish scalable data and reporting solutions, identify commercial opportunities and challenges, and provide technical thought leadership across the analytics function.

This role will work closely with Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Sales, Data Science, Corporate Strategy, Finance and other functional teams to develop comprehensive analytical solutions that drive business performance and improve decision-making.

Business & Analytics Leadership

• Translate complex business questions and strategic priorities into well-defined analytical projects and actionable insights.
• Serve as a trusted analytics partner to business and functional leaders, helping identify, qualify, and quantify commercial and marketing opportunities and challenges.
• Develop analytical frameworks and recommendations at the territory, region, brand, customer, and business-unit levels.
• Connect independent analyses and data sources into cohesive, business-ready insights and reporting solutions.
• Lead complex, high-visibility analytics projects from requirements gathering through development, deployment, and ongoing enhancement.
• Provide advanced ad hoc analytics and insights to support leadership decision-making.

Snowflake & Data Engineering Expertise

• Serve as a senior technical SME and subject matter expert in Snowflake, developing and maintaining scalable analytical data solutions.
• Design and optimize complex SQL queries, data models, transformations, and analytical datasets within Snowflake.
• Develop efficient and sustainable data pipelines and data structures to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Understand and manage data flows across multiple enterprise systems, including oracle, CRM, MDM, and other data sources.
• Establish processes and standards that improve data quality, reliability, scalability, and reusability.

Power BI & Business Intelligence

• • Serve as a Power BI technical SME, responsible for developing enterprise-quality dashboards, reports, and analytical applications.
  • Design scalable Power BI data models and semantic models that support multiple business use cases.
  • Develop advanced DAX, Power Query, and data transformation solutions to deliver sophisticated analytics.
  • Optimize Power BI reports for performance, usability, and scalability.
  • Enable business users to effectively interact with and leverage Power BI analytics through training and technical guidance.

Your Background

• • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of business analysis experience. Preferred experience in commercial excellence, sales analytics, marketing analytics.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Snowflake, including advanced SQL, data modeling/ transformation, and development of scalable analytical solutions.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Power BI, including advanced data modeling and visualization.

Base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 with additional corporate bonus
